What you should know about Boating Western Australia

Associations in Claremont

The ultimate win of BOATINGWA is unsure on key issues. Liaison with regulatory bodies and government. Education of members and community in respect of boating safety skills and knowledge. Affiliation between the Association and other marine organizations. To foster social interaction between members of the association as healthy as with members of related organizations. To act as a representative body in matters of interest to members. To do all such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the objects and exercise of the powers of the association. BoatingWA is the only boating association representing the long range of recreational boating interests across the state. BoatingWA regularly makes submissions to suitable authorities and inquiries on a range of boating matters. In 2004 Swan Yacht Club became our beginning affiliate member behind a change to our constitution. In 2014, our committee is much stronger and our credentials are now accepted by the regulatory bodies.

Membership is available to all those who enjoy recreational boating. Nine fresh navigation marks around the island. As a Club Marine agent, we rebate our members up to 10 of their premium! The only boating association representing the long range of recreational boating interests across the state. The majority of boat owners in WA live in the Perth metropolitan area, with rottenest Island off Fremantle being a major attraction no matter what time of year. The Swan and Canning rivers are protected waters and good to cruise on any time of year. Further north Shark Bay, Coral Bay and Exmouth make lovely boating destinations with excellent marine facilities for both large and little craft. The rock is marked on current charts, however in consultation with Boating Western Australia and dot it was deemed best to specifically indicate its location in this ambitious transit area as the rock poses a navigational hazard at low water for vessels with a draft greater than one mere. Of defense, there is limited public access from daybreak to sunset to the island. Our annual magazine is the premium reference guide to this year's boating season, the magazine for Boating WA's (BA) members and associates who all share the same passion for boating. Massive discounts available across an enormous range of goods including cars, vehicle accessories, electrical equipment. We do have a exceptional donate for our BoatingWA members, courtesy of rottenest Express. The timing could not be better for members who wish to experience Whale watching adventures. Now that is making travel affordable!! And for that we thank Adams Buses and the rottenest Island Authority. The rottenest General Store is again pleased to offer the boating community of rottenest a delivery service to Parker Point, Rocky Bay and Star Bay this summer BUT they can no longer present a free delivery as over the last two years it has proven not to be cost effective for the Team at the General Store! We thank Greg and the Team for the effort they put into the deliveries over the final 2 years, and understand that they must remain viable. Let's hope our good business to Greg may ultimately precede to delivery being complimentary in the future. It imperative to note that there will not be any changes for maximum skippers as they can continue to carry Australian Standard life jackets (AS 4758, AS 1512) when operating in unprotected waters in WA. A good picnic spot for lunch, and the kids can swim off the beach. Good for a family picnic. The club has reciprocal arrangements with other Yacht Clubs phone to book guest jetty space for a huge overnight er at their restaurant and bar. Excellent for a meal at the Raffles Restaurant lunch or dinner with city views. There are three of five courtesy moorings in this area and it is a wonderful location to bring visitors to Perth for a lunch on the water (or Coco's), with a vista across Perth Water to the city.
